When German professor Otto Lidenbrock decodes the cryptic notes of a famous medieval scholar, he discovers a map that outlines a method to accessing a tunnel leading directly to the center of the earth! He solicits his nephew to accompany him on his journey, and in their endeavor, they discover there is more to life than what is on the surface of the earth.
